I’d like to introduce you to my tricycle project, which is designed for older cycling enthusiasts—and others as well.

The advantage of a tricycle is its stability. If you run out of steam on a hill, you can remain comfortably seated on the tricycle, stop, catch your breath, and continue up the hill.

To make it easier to get on, the space in front of the seat has been cleared, and the chain driving the left front wheel has been moved to the left. The direction of travel is controlled by the rear wheel, which also houses the electric motor.

The rear wheel is connected via linkages to parallelogram steering levers. A foam seat ensures riding comfort.

The purpose of this project is to verify and further develop the concept of a tricycle with a steerable rear wheel.

Thank you,

Petr Křivan
